THE UNIVERSAL MATHEMATICAL MODEL FOR SUSPENDED SOLIDS RUNOFF IN MOUNTAIN RIVER BASINS

The paper is devoted to the system analysis of the formation of suspended solids runoff by the example of 33 river basins of the Altai-Sayan mountain country. A mathematical model of the runoff for four particular periods of the hydrological year covering the XII-III, IV-VI, VII-VIII, IX-XI months, respectively, is developed. The system analysis of factors affecting the runoff and the model development were carried out with system-analytical modeling performed in MATLAB. The method allowed us to quantify the effect of precipitation, orography and landscape structure of the basins on the runoff. To characterize the landscape structure, all the landscapes were combined into 12 geosystem groups.
