Editorial policy:

International scientific journal "Sustainable development of mountain territories" illuminates fundamental and applied regional, national and international research and provides a platform to publish original full papers and related reviews in the following areas: engineering and Earth science in the field of sustainable development of mountain territories.

The main objectives of the international scientific journal "Sustainable development of mountain territories" are:

  • information exchange and dissemination of scientific research results and achievements in implementation of these results and other innovations in the field of Earth and Planetary Science, Engineering and Environmental Science for sustainable development of mountain territories;
  • promotion and dissemination of ideas of the United Nations conception “Sustainable development of mountain territories”;
  • expansion of opportunities for indexing of scientific papers in key Russian and international citation bases.

 

 

International scientific journal as part of the Russian and international scientific information system is involved in the following tasks solution:

  • reflection of the results of research, scientific-practical and experimental activity of specialists, postgraduate students, dealing with urgent problems of sustainable development in general, and mountain areas in particular;
  • formation of the scientific component of the University environment and promotion of the achievements of science in sustainable development of mountain territories;
  • revealing scientific potential for implementation of advanced scientific achievements in mountainous regions of the world;
  • organization of open scientific debate, contributing to the quality of dissertation research, efficiency of scientific works examination;
  • providing publicity and openness in reflection of scientific issues of international research groups in the field of sustainable development of mountain territories.

Submission rules of preprints and postprints:

Prior to acceptance and publication in "Sustainable Development of Mountain Territories", authors may make their submissions available as preprints on personal or public websites. In this case, an act of examination of the organization where this work was performed (article) is required.

As part of submission process, authors are required to confirm that the submission has not been previously published, nor has been submitted. After a manuscript has been published in "Sustainable Development of Mountain Territories" we suggest that the link to the article on journal's website is used when the article is shared on personal or public websites. The article must be signed by all authors. Changing the authors of the article after sending the manuscript to the editorial office requires agreement with the editorial board of the journal.

 

Glossary (by SHERPA)

Preprint - In the context of Open Access, a preprint is a draft of an academic article or other publication before it has been submitted for peer-review or other quality assurance procedure as part of the publication process. Preprints cover initial and successive drafts of articles, working papers or draft conference papers. Postprint - the final version of an academic article or other publication - after it has been peer-reviewed and revised into its final form by the author. As a general term this covers both the author's final version and the version as published, with formatting and copy-editing changes in place.

The policy of free access:

Articles of the journal "Sustainable development of mountain territories" are available to everyone since publication which provides free open access to research results and contributes to the solution of complex issues aimed at sustainable development of mountain territories.

Open access leads to increased readership beyond the international mountain research and development community, thus increasing the benefits of knowledge and experience in the field of sustainable development of mountain areas, presented in the journal.

Open access also results in greater recognition and citation of the works of authors.
